DS type searchlight

The DS type is a manually controlled searchlight, to be controlled from directly behind the searchlight. The DS type is the most cost efficient searchlight version, chosen because of low price and for smaller, open bridges with direct access to the searchlight outside.

The manual steering devices are distinguished by their high quality, robustness and functionality. Installation is simple and the systems are easy to maintain, the Seematz searchlights are designed for use under the harshest conditions.

EF TYPE

The EF type searchlight is an electrically controlled searchlight, operated from an operation panel within the wheelhouse. The operation panel is connected to a dedicated power supply (By Xenon) which controls the searchlight. Halogen and LED don’t have any external power supply. The operation panel includes a joystick for accurate movement of the searchlight. Optionally, the searchlight panels can be equipped with focus, zero-position switch and digital position indication.

The EF type of searchlight has become the industry standard, due to its easy operation, and is especially suitable when operated from larger or closed bridge. The position of the EF type searchlight is independent from the position of the operator, which can perform operation from the operation panel, which allows the searchlight to be placed practically anywhere, such as high up in the mast or on the front or aft side of the vessel.

X-Light

The X-light is the new LED searchlight from Seematz with a 360 degree rotating head. This compact searchlight from Seematz has been developed for smaller vessels and for fast-moving vessels. X-light has all the functions that you expect from a full LED searchlight.

The special construction of this X-light results in a very high light output combined with a very compact design. Moreover, the X-light has a particularly strong construction, due to the housing which only moves around its own axis, making it very suitable for use on fast ships that have to cope with hitting the waves hard at higher speeds. The X-light is very suitable for fast ferries, tender boats, crew tenders and fast work vessels.

WS TYPE SEARCHLIGHT

The WS type searchlight is a manually controlled searchlight, operated below deck from within the wheelhouse. The WS searchlight is installed through the wheelhouse ceiling watertightly.

The WS type is a relatively cost efficient searchlight version, which is also chosen because it allows for an accurate and quick operation by hand directly from within the wheelhouse. A WH type of searchlight is similar to the WS type, apart from a taller column on top of the wheelhouse.

DH TYPE SEARCHLIGHT

The DH type searchlight is a manually controlled searchlight, to be controlled from directly behind the searchlight. The DH type is similar to the DS type, but executed with a higher column, allowing for searchlight operation in an upright standing position, without the need for a separate mounting skid for the light.

The DH type is a cost efficient searchlight version, chosen because of low price and for smaller, open bridges with direct access to the searchlight outside.

WH TYPE SEARCHLIGHT

The WH type searchlight is a manually controlled searchlight, operated below deck from within the wheelhouse. The WH searchlight is installed through the wheelhouse ceiling watertightly. The WHS type is a relatively cost efficient searchlight version, which is also chosen because it allows for an accurate and quick operation by hand directly from within the wheelhouse. Compared to the WS type, the WH type has a higher column on top of the wheelhouse, enabling it to overcome the ships safety rails or any other objects that could obstruct the light bundle radiated by the searchlight.
